Guide Home Retrievers Home About the Guide Hunting Resources

We have been very fortunate to work with wonderful people in magnificent places. I started my guide career as a dog handler learning how to work my dogs for the client and be a good hunter. Enjoying the outdoors so much I decided to pursue my own hunting guide license. While working at King and Bartlett Fish and Game Club as a dog handler, I earned my guide license and became a Maine Master Guide. Being the only female bird hunting guide on the King and Bartlett staff was an honor in which I took great pride. I worked for King and Bartlett every bird season until the camps closed to the public. My fondest memories are of those glorious October days in the field. I thank Fred Thurston and my husband, Eben for assisting me with my success. After the King and Bartlett closing I spent the next year guiding for Grant's Camps. The following year I decided to reduce the long travel and guide in my home area which enjoys great bird hunting.

The dogs and guiding go hand in hand and are my passion. I train all my own dogs with the help of  Eben. We will train a client's dog to hunt birds as well. I have run my dogs in AKC hunt tests titling dogs in the junior and senior levels. My goal is to title a dog at the master level. As well as enjoying the hunt with clients, our time and energy is spent with our son, Hogan introducing him to dog training and the excitement of being a young bird hunter.
